Tips for a perfect engagement photo session
An engagement photo session is a fun way to capture beautiful pictures with your fiancé. We can’t think of a better way to celebrate your love forever. This photo session is often done as soon as couples become engaged, and the photos can be used for your wedding website and can also be displayed at your wedding reception.
Here are some tips for how to plan the perfect engagement photo session.
Choose the right engagement photographer
Beautiful engagement photography captures the essence of a relationship. That’s why it’s important to choose a photographer who “gets your vibe” and will bring out your personality during the session.
Choose a memorable location
A park with beautiful landscapes, an old barn, a familiar restaurant, or even your backyard are all great places for engagement photography. Ideally the location should have a special meaning for you. Perhaps it’s the place you met or a location that holds a special memory. If you can’t settle on just one location, that’s ok. We love engagement sessions that take place in multiple locations.
Choose the right outfit – or outfits
Your engagement shoot is the perfect time to dress up. We suggest choosing one casual elegant outfit, and one casual outfit. Stick with solid colors and avoid patterned fabrics that may not photography well. For your engagement photo session, make sure to choose comfortable shoes you can walk in.
Other tips
Some engagement photo shoot ideas consist of the couple lounging on the couch reading books together while others involve hiking or at your favorite coffee shop. The main thing is to keep things relaxed and be yourselves. The key is to let your personality shine through and to have a blast during the shoot!
